in spring 2020, my grandmother gifted me a collection of wine glasses made by her grandfather at the turn of the century.
these glasses have been held by family member I will never meet. These family members have drank from these glasses while peering at landscapes I will never see.
In the same way, I now drink from these glasses while looking at lands they will never see.
These glasses, however, have seen all and join all lands seen and unseen together.
the pulp paintings were built upon the shapes of the glasses, the ripples liquid makes in them, and parts of landscapes I have seen while drinking from them.
