Moments Lost and Found

This collection of work was made for my exhibition “Moments Lost and Found”, which was show from April 28-June 15, 2021 in the North Floor Gallery in Lowe Mill Arts and Entertainment.

The description for this exhibition was as follows:

”When thinking through what to show for this exhibition, I kept going back to how 2020 has affected my life and everyone else’s. From 2018-2020, I was living in China and living my best life. In January 2020, I came home to visit for 3 weeks, which has now turned into indefinitely.

The sudden loss of my life before the pandemic, the loss of my home and possessions I had cherished for the past two years, the loss of future time I would have in China, the loss of my routine, my job, my studio, friends, pets, etc. From these losses came this body of work. I know I am not the only one who has lost something or someone or both in 2020. These works are me processing my losses with the hope of finding solace and understanding within what has been lost.

I hope in this space you find a moment of comfort to what you have lost.”
